Grey-stroked New Wave keys, thumps, and throbbings peared (hahaha) with dominatrix zombie-speak. Though a tad schlocky, this gothy-garb is clean and well-produced and there are moments (the tensely drifting "God is a Bug," and the bleak mystique of "Wild Elephants") of true intrigue. And when you put on some black lipstick (girls and boys), light some candles and a clove, it all seems right. --J.D.
